Jesolo Air Show is the leading air show in the national panorama. The presence of the prestigious Frecce Tricolori National Aerobatic Team guarantees a show of the highest level, much appreciated by fans as well as families and tourists from all over Europe. The event originated in 1996 with the sole participation of the Frecce Tricolori, and this has been the case in the two subsequent editions. Over the years, the event has grown in interest, with the presence of various civilian and military aircraft and helicopters, both Italian and foreign; including overflights by F-16 fighter jets of the U.S. Air Force, the participation of the civilian patrol YAK Italia, and helicopters of the Italian Army. Each year, the number of civilian and military aerobatic patrols participating in the event increases, including the Royal Jordanian Falcons Aerobatic Patrol, the Pioneer Team (ITA), the Breitling Devils (ITA) and numerous solo aircraft. The success of the event, which is now known throughout Europe, is confirmed by the huge number of spectators who attend each year.
